On a trip to Niue — often called “The Rock of the Pacific” — I spoke with local people about ways to give back to the island and its culture. Together, we came up with a plan: I would paint the tropical fish I had encountered while snorkelling and turn them into postcards for the community to sell, helping fund local projects.

Niue is a world-class snorkelling destination. Its volcanic geology naturally filters rainwater through the porous rock before it reaches the sea, creating some of the clearest waters on earth. The nation is also a global leader in marine conservation, with large areas of its ocean protected.
